Hands down for the best authentic Vietnamese food in North Houston!!! The prices are so much better than any place around Woodlands/Spring area! You get what you pay for!!! My favorite is anything with wet noodles & spring rolls! Restaurant policy for gratuity is 5+ people is automatically 18%!! That's ok, as long as the service is good! You will find this posted at the cashier check out.
Every time we visit Houston, we have to have one meal at Banh Cuon Hoa! My family loves their banh cuon dac biet, banh cuon thit nuong, banh uot cha lua, bun mam, bun mang vit, chao long, and canh bun!
Exceeded my expectations. I'm biased to thinking best and freshest Vietnamese food is only found on Bellaire. The service was fast and the food was just out of the kitchen of mom's house. My favorite was their freshly ground/cut peppers for the dipping sauce. Be CAREFUL! Freshly ground/cut also means high spice levels. I used my "normal" amount because most restaurants use a factory crushed peppers so heat levels aren't as high. I needed extra water and ice to handle it. Definitely will return to try other dishes.
Never been inside , but had many Togo orders . The bánh cuốn is good never had a bad order ,
I've noted the frequency of the low ratings/reviews for this place. This was my first time dining in here (Nov. 2022) with a party of 8 people and we had a good experience. The service and timing was just fine, our server was very friendly although she did not speak much English. Most of our table ordered either the banh cuon dac biet or the banh uot dac biet and it was so delicious, for a great price. The steamed rice rolls were thin, everything was fresh, and the portions were plenty. If you're in the northern area of Houston, I'd definitely recommend this place for your Viet fix!
I haven't been to this place for a while (I don't live in the area) but remember that my last exp was so not bad. I came back during this COVID situation w a bit of apprehension ...are they clean? Are they doing the social distancing ...(cuz some of us do care about this stuff) they are doing the social distancing and yes they're are enforcing face mask ...I can tell they care about their employees and the utensils are now plastics and disposable... Any who, onto food: Their specialty: I thought it was yummilicious and very legit. The skin were thin and filling yummy. I find the grilled ones too be ...a tad too much for me but overall was a really good option. (Took one star off for the vegetable!) Banh Beo: my Hue fav and I love how their presentation looks. I initially thought it was bánh bèo quản but it's not, they just didn't mince all the shrimps. I like the mouth feel of this combination though. Wish they give me some spicy chilly but all in all, a def return for all my fav when I'm in the area again.
If you are concerned about service and cleanliness, then this place is probably not for you. Being that I'm used to this at certain places of this demographic, I don't care. I come for the banh cuon with the ground pork n mushrooms + the duck summer salad. They used to have this one dessert that's called Che Ba May [3 color dessert], but it's always sold out? Considering that this is in the north side and only place for banh cuon I would go to, it's probably the best you can get up north.
